What makes this collection truly remarkable is the meticulous attention to detail and the storytelling aspect that intertwines each piece with the brand's identity and the local territory.
One of the standout pieces is the majolica miniatures depicting Sicilian landmarks, which take months to complete. The enamel work is a masterpiece in itself, requiring careful and multiple rounds of cooking. The miniature charm depicting the Isola Bella on the Ionian Sea near Taormina is a true marvel, capturing the essence of the Sicilian resort town where the brand unveiled the collection.
The three-day event for around 300 clients is unique in the market, offering a holistic and consistent vision as part of a single experience and aesthetics across the board. The collections are interconnected with one another as part of a single universe, with every jewel stemming from the designers' sketches and original ideas. The storytelling is a key element of every collection, and it resonates well with clients who are curious and engaged.
What makes this collection particularly fascinating is the way it blends the aesthetics of the clothes with the jewels. While the jewels are not paraded by models on the catwalk, they are shown in glass display cases, allowing the audience to appreciate the intricate details and the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. The brand's artisans, working in-house at its Legnano headquarters, less than 20 miles from Milan, also respond to specific made-to-order requests, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
The devotion heart is one of the leitmotifs of the collections, also present in the fashion designs, as is other religious iconography, from the Virgin Mary to Christian crosses. The 'sacred heart' pendant necklace in white and pink gold with pink and rubellite tourmalines, rubies, and diamonds is a beautiful example of this, while the brooch with a tiny winged cherub floating over a spiral shell in yellow and white gold is a delightful piece that captures the brand's playful spirit.
Nature is also reflected in the collection, with an incredibly detailed brooch in yellow, white, and pink gold depicting a delicate butterfly leaning on a flower stem.
